LGBTQ+ Studies

The Center for LGBTQ and Gender Studies in Religion (CLGS) was established at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. The Center serves three constituencies: the world of academic religious scholarship; faith communities; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and transgender people and organizations.

Their online school prepares Muslim scholars for leadership positions in spiritual spaces, in the arts. Their work in the media; and through their think tank focuses on research, lectures, and conferences.

MPV is a Muslim advocacy organization that supports full equality and inclusion of all individuals, regardless of sexual
orientation or gender identity, in society and in the Muslim community.

The Religious Institute is a multifaith organization dedicated to advocating for sexual health, education, and justice in faith communities and society. The Religious Institute has emerged as the national leadership organization working at the intersection of sexuality and religion. Their staff provide clergy, congregations, and denominational bodies with technical assistance on addressing sexuality and reproductive health, and assist sexual and reproductive health (SRH) organizations on addressing religious issues and developing outreach to faith communities.

The Well Project is a non-profit organization whose mission is to change the course of the HIV/AIDS pandemic through a unique and comprehensive focus on women and girls. They are a recognized leader in the fight against HIV, revolutionizing the availability and accessibility of meaningful and relevant information designed specifically for women living with HIV.
