Graduation Requirement Checklist from the Learning Commons

Graduation Checklist for MA, STM, DMin and PhD Students

The following instructions apply to all graduating students from the MA, STM, DMin, and PhD programs.

  1. Please consult the Formatting Guidelines Checklist for your degree program posted on this page.

  2. Submit your final corrected thesis/dissertation in PDF format to the CTS Digital Commons, the electronic theses and dissertations repository for the Chicago Theological Seminary.

Students will be emailed credentials to access the CTS Digital Commons in early March 2025. Please contact the Learning Commons if you do not receive your credentials.

Submit your work to the CTS Digital Commons by April TBD, 2025. 

 

  1. Printed copies of your thesis/dissertation need to be received by April TBD, 2025. Please provide one printed copy for the Learning Commons collection, and however many copies you wish for yourself. If students wish one bound copy, then two printed copies need to be submitted.

Bring or mail your thesis or dissertation to:

  1. Pay the thesis/dissertation binding fee ($30/copy). The fee for one bound copy is already posted to your account. Please reach out to the Business Office if you wish to bind more than one copy.

  2. Return any library books and pay any lost book fees. Overdue fines will be waived.

 

Graduation Checklist for MDiv Students

The following instructions apply to all graduating students from the MDiv program.

  1. If you are submitting a constructive paper instead of a portfolio for your capstone project, please email your final corrected paper to the Lapp Learning Commons: library @ctschicago.edu.
  2. If you've developed a portfolio for your MDiv capstone project, there is nothing further you need to do for the Lapp Learning Commons other than returning books.
