Morgan Collection

The G. Campbell Morgan Collection

CTS houses the most complete collection of the works of the Rev. Dr. G. Campbell Morgan (1863-1945). Lauded as one of the top ten preachers of the twentieth century, Morgan received his Doctor of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary in 1902 and later became a professor of Biblical studies at the CTS. The collection preserves Morgan’s handwritten Sermon Register listing 1,639 sermons, along with original manuscripts of his sermon notes. The collection contains his writings in the Westminster publication series, many of his books, and other documents such as newspaper clips, lecture notes, and photographs.

The Learning Commons created a small Digital Collection that presents indexes of all sermon titles, digital copies of selected sermon notes, and a detailed list of all archival materials available to researchers.
